AFSA panels represent a broad range of seniority and qualification. AFSA's arbitrators and mediators range from former and retired judges to junior advocates, and include attorneys, accountants and industrial relations practitioners. Admission criteria to the panels requires appropriate experience or training. The applicant must be a member of AFSA, and must complete the Panel Application form and pay a small fee. All accredited arbitrators and mediators are bound by the AFSA Code of Conduct. AFSA administered arbitrations often provide the option of an appeal and our appeal arbitrators are drawn from a panel of leading practitioners.

Parties involved in a dispute where AFSA is appointed to administer may request from the Secretariat a list of panellists appropriate to their matter.
